Campaign Background

The campaign was instigated in August 2009 further to a planning submission by M James Development and Partners to seek outline planning permission in principle to develop the Dall Estate site (formerly Rannoch School) and adjacent Forestry Commission land on the Southside of Loch Rannoch into an exclusive private members club.

The proposal comprises of a luxury hotel development with a spa, clinic, leisure and retail facilities, two 18-hole golf courses, club house and ancillary facilities; a 7-storey broch restaurant constructed on Loch Rannoch, plus further loch-shore restaurant; seven large luxury loch side houses, 94 club members houses plus major staff accommodation; gate keep access, parking etc.

It is envisaged that the development will be served by helicopter pads and sea plane landing jetties to enable travel to and from the location. It is anticipated that the complex will have 1,000 plus users and 450 staff. The proposal can be viewed on the Perth & Kinross planning website: www.pkc.gov.uk.
